Hi, I'm Zuzana and the greatness of the subject of psychology has always fascinated me.
My intention as a counsellor is to invite you into a safe, warm and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and understood. A space where we can work together in your search and understanding of yourself, your feelings and thoughts. I am here to support you to confront your pains, discomforts and joys, offer you an opportunity to expand another perception and explore new options and ways of managing your issues to help you to grow through this process of self-acceptance and healing.
Famous Rumi's quote: "The wound is the place where the Light enters you" suggests that vulnerability, pain, and heartbreak are necessary for spiritual growth and deeper understanding.
I believe that no matter what we have been through in life, every one of us with the right support and their motivation for a change has the power within them to discover that light in their lives and be able to shine. Being able to support others, empower them, offer them a new perspective on life situations and help them to look at things differently, invite them to a change from their own way of seeing things that may not presently be healthy for them. For me that is one of the great thing about being a therapist.
It's alright to seek help if you want a change in your life.
Having some unpleasant or unwanted thoughts that give us feelings of pain rather than joy and not having someone who will understand or just listen to us can be hard but it's normal, we have thoughts and feelings, as we are all humans.
We all have the possibility of a change, of becoming the best version of ourselves, if we want to and if we are given the correct opportunity and support.
For over seven years I have worked in private practice where I had the opportunity to support individuals with mental health struggles by offering counselling in areas of low self-esteem, low confidence, anxiety, domestic abuse, relationships issues, trauma and anxiety.
Being also a College Counsellor for the last three years has allowed me to gain experiences in working with individuals of different backgrounds or age groups, neurodivergent individuals and vulnerable young individuals who struggles with behaviour issues, anger, bullying, anxiety, depression or self-esteem.
